Regeneration begins with the relationship between people and the land they care for. When native plants return to our neighborhoods, ecosystems begin to recover. Pollinators find food, soil becomes healthier, and landscapes begin to function again.

Our work focuses on small, meaningful projects that reconnect people with the living systems around them. Together, these small pieces create a network of habitat and stewardship across our communities.

Native Plant Kits

Our native plant kits make it easy to begin restoring habitat in your own space. Each kit includes a curated selection of native plants designed to fill roughly 50 square feet and suited to the conditions of your site—from sunny and dry to shady and moist.

These small gardens are designed to be manageable, beautiful, and ecologically meaningful. Over time they create food and shelter for pollinators and wildlife while reconnecting people with the living landscape around them.

Garden Installation

For those who would like hands-on help, our team and volunteers can assist with installing your garden kit. Installation days are collaborative and educational. They’re an opportunity to learn about native plants while working alongside others who care about the land.

Together we transform lawns and unused spaces into vibrant native plant communities that will continue to grow and evolve over time.

Ecological Consultations

Not sure where to begin? Our consultations help you explore the ecological potential of your landscape.

During a consultation we walk your site, discuss your goals, and identify practical ways to introduce native plants, perennial food species, and habitat features. We’ll talk about your historic ecosystem and resources to access to learn more. The goal is to give you the knowledge and confidence to move forward with your landscape in a way that supports both people and ecology.

Community Stewardship Workdays

Restoring ecosystems is not something we do alone. Throughout the year we organize community workdays where neighbors gather to care for shared landscapes.

These events may include planting native gardens, removing invasive species, or maintaining existing habitat areas. They are practical opportunities to improve local ecosystems while building community around the shared work of land stewardship.

A Note on Shared Resources

Adapt operates through a community-supported model. Our resources are limited, and we work to share them as widely as possible. For that reason, households and sites that receive services are asked to wait one year before requesting additional services.

You might say our services are biennial by design. This approach allows more people and more pieces of land to participate in ecological restoration across our community.

Support the Work

If you believe in restoring ecological relationships between people and the land, you can help sustain this work.

Supporters make it possible for us to purchase locally sourced native plants, organize community stewardship days, and expand habitat across our neighborhoods. Consider supporting Adapt through a monthly contribution or one-time donation.
