Roll up your sleeves.
Here’s what we do.

No experience required. A willingness to learn and get a little dirty is all you need.

Volunteering with Adapt Community Supported Ecology is a chance to make a real, tangible difference right in your own neighborhood. Volunteers might spend an afternoon helping a neighbor plant a food or pollinator garden, or join us in the winter months to cut back invasive species and restore space for native plants to thrive.

We welcome people to bring their skills, knowledge, and lived experiences to this work. Whether you’re brand new to native plants or have years of ecological or gardening experience, your participation matters. We strive to make restoration and native habitat building inclusive and accessible work that reflects and supports the people and places it serves.

For those who want to take their involvement further, our Community Leader Training Program offers hands-on learning in native plant ecosystems, ecological garden design, and community engagement. Graduates help guide others in planting and caring for their Adapt gardens, becoming part of a growing network of local leaders who strengthen land and people through shared work and shared knowledge.

Adapt Community Leader Training

Our Community Leader Training Program equips volunteers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to successfully plant and steward Adapt Garden Kits throughout their communities.

Through four virtual learning sessions and one in-person field day, participants gain a complete foundation in site assessment, planting technique, stewardship, and community coordination. By the end of the program, Community Leaders are prepared not only to install gardens successfully, but to guide others through the process as well.
